Tamil actor Surya may be to work with director Shankar for the 3 Idiots Tamil and Telugu Remake.  Before Vijay and Mahesh babu was been selected, but they are busy and could not give dates for the director,  so Shankar may get Surya for both Tamil and Telugu version.  Still there is no official confirmation yet,  but according to the sources Surya is almost to do this project.

But the actor Surya was strict on couple of issues. One is that Shankar has to wait for another year as Surya is busy with many projects till the end of next year. The second factor is that Suriya wants to play the lead role in both the Tamil and Telugu versions.

Surya has many fans in Tollywood as well as his dubbed films did a better job in Telugu. Needless to mention, his recent release ‘Raktha Charithram’ has a done a better job than in Tamil.

The actor is right now working with A.R. Murugadoss in the film Ezham Arivu that will be released simultaneously in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi.

The latest speculation in Kollywood is about Vijay and Shankar’s 3 Idiots remake. The film from the initial talks is in headlines and now it continuous the same.

From the snoopy sources it is heard that Vijay has walked out of the film. This is a big blow for the entire team of ‘3 Idiots’ as the shooting of the film is going to start from December 6th in Dehradun.

An unofficial report says that the director and Vijay had a difference in talks about Vijay’s look in 3 Idiots. Shankar asked him to go for a makeover, but Vijay had a particular look for his Velayudham and if he skips his present look the continuity will be affected. Apart from this Vijay has also a problem in adjustment of dates as his diary is full. Now Shankar and Gemini Film Circuits are in search of a hero.

Vijay’s latest forthcoming film “Kaavalan” which was previously named as ‘Kaaval Kaadhal’ is nearing completion. It is being directed by Siddique and Vidhyasagar is scoring the music while Iyarkai fame N. K. Ekambaram has handled cinematography. It is said to be a remake of Malayalam film ‘Bodyguard’. The film has Asin playing the lead opposite vijay.

Finally Shankar confirmed the cast of the remake version of ‘3 Idiots’ both in Tamil and Telugu.The director is planning to have a Tamil title for tax reasons and in Telugu it will be 3 Rascals.

Cast details Ilayathalapathy Vijay in Tamil and Mahesh Babu in Telugu will play the role of Aamir Khan, Ileana will do Kareena Kapoor’s role,Jiiva is do the role of Madhavan, Srikanth will be doing Sharman Joshy’s character and Sathyaraj in Bomman Iranis role.

Harris will be scoring the music, cinematographer by Manoj Paramahams and Gemini Film Circuit will be producing the film.
