Director Siddique has started the shoot of the debut Bollywood movie a remake of Vijay’s hit Kaavalan with Salman Khan in Pune from Monday (Jan 17).

Originally, Kaavalan is a Malayalam movie titled ‘Bodyguard’, starring the Mallu superstar Dileep and Nayantara.

In the Hindi version titled My Love Story has Salman Khan playing the role done by Vijay and Kareena Kapoor instead of Asin Thottumkal.

The film is being produced by Atul Agnihotri, brother-in-law of Salman Khan and is going to be marketed by Reliance Big Pictures. The music is being composed by Pritam. There will be some changes in the Hindi version to suit North Indian nativity. My Love Story is scheduled to release some time in October 2011 for Eid, Salman’s lucky date.

Ra.One is an upcoming Hindi science-fiction superhero film directed by Anubhav Sinha. The film, which features Shahrukh Khan, Kareena Kapoor and Arjun Rampal, will be produced under Khan’s production company, Red Chillies Entertainment. According to Khan, “Ra.One” means “Random Access – Version 1.0”. The film’s original score is composed by German musician Hans Zimmer

Ra.One may hit the screens in the second half of 2011.

This film will reportedly have good stunts from Shahrukh Khan. The special effects team is being hired from Hollywood. Khan has already started working out to prepare himself to be able to perform the those stunts for the film.

Shahrukh recently tweeted about the film’s action sequence ‘Huge blue screen…100 cars… cranes wires… gawd I am making a film beyond my means. Will be dancing on the streets to pay for all this. (sic)’

The shooting was originally supposed to begin in Miami, USA, but due to budget concerns this was scrapped. The first phase of filming begun in India in March 2010 and took place till May 2010 in Mumbai’s Film City and Goa. The crew then moved on to London in June 2010 where the filming with the entire cast took place during July–August and has been completed. In an interview, Khan stated that the remaining portions would be completed in India & would require further 6 months of post production.

Kareena Kapoor plays the female lead alongside Khan in the film whilst Arjun Rampal will be seen as the villain. Initially Khan stated that Jackie Chan was approached for a role in the film. Khan had reportedly sent Chan the detailed script of the film, along with the action sequences and a brief synopsis of his character, it was later confirmed that Chan would not be part of the project. In July 2010, Khan announced that Chinese-American actor Tom Wu would be part of the film.

Akon and Khan reportedly met in Los Angeles, USA. It was reported that besides singing one song, the singer would also form part of the cast. However, Anubhav Sinha later explained that Akon would “only be singing for our film and not acting”.

MILENGE MILENGE has ‘kismet’ keeping the lovers apart. Imagine a love story where the lovers have already expressed love for each other, but some force beyond their control gets in their way and keeps them apart till the end of the film. The script indulges in bringing its leads together, but also makes sure that they stay far away from each other till minutes before the film is about to conclude. Sure, this thought sounds interesting on paper, but there’s a flipside to it.
