Rana, Rajinikanth’s next magnum opus goes on floor today in Chennai The shoot commences with a puja by Super Star Rajinikanth along with the cast and crew in Chennai to mark the auspicious occasion.

The shoot of Rana has to start a week days back but due to the erection of sets the shoot got delayed. As known to us Rana will be a live action magnum opus in which Rajini will be seen playing triple role while Deepika Padukone, Ileana D’Cruz, Tabu will star opposite him. Sonu Sood plays the role of a baddie and Rajini himself has selected Sonu Sood for this role.

Director Mr. K.S Ravikumar said,”Rana has a gripping story line and the entire cats and crew for Rana were perfect for the script. The film is going have stunning visuals which will surely take Indian cinema to the global standards”.

Soundarya Rajinikanth, of Ocher Visual effects UK, is working as a technical director for Rana while Charles Darby of Eyeqube Studios, well-known visual effects personality and an Emmy award winner, is the creative and special effects director on the film. Ratnavelu and Anthony are heading the departments of cinematography and Editing.

Eros International, India’s largest integrated film studio and NextGen Films are jointly producing the film through Rana Production Ltd., UK.

Rana is scheduled to release in FY 2012.

Kollywood handsome hero Karthi is is all set to tie the knot.

Yes! What you read is right, Karthi is getting married to Ranjani, Stella Maris student who is pursuing M.A English. Ranjani is a daughter of Erode based Chinnasamy & Jothi Meenakshi. This is purely an arranged marriage contrary to the expectations. The marriage is going to take place very soon. Karthi is riding high in his career with the latest success of Siruthai and the actor has special place in Kollywood with his acting excellence. He started his acting career in 2007 and so far acted in five films. His upcoming projects are Saguni and Kagidha Kappal which are under pre production stage. The exact date will be published when it is confirmed by Siva Kumar’s family.

The wedding is going take place soon in a grand note on July 3, 2011and who is who of Kollywood industry are going to attend the wedding. The venue of the wedding is yet to be confirmed.

Deiva Thirumagan (தெய்வத்திருமகன், Son of God) is a forthcoming 2011 Indian Tamil drama film written and directed by A. L. Vijay and produced by Mohan Natarajan. The film features Vikram in the lead role as a mentally challenged adult with the maturity of a five-year-old boy, while Anushka Shetty, Amala Paul and Nassar portray other pivotal roles. The film comprises of director Vijay’s ‘regular’ technical crew with G. V. Prakash Kumar as music composer, Nirav Shah as cinematographer and Anthony as editor.
